The Brazos Valley Foodshed Investors (BVFI) is here to help connect interested companies, organizations, and investors to FI programs and opportunities for engagement, as well as to engage the larger food ecosystem community in the Bryan-College Station area.

For Companies and Farmers: Get connected to FI Advisory Services including Fundraising Readiness, Virtual Business Partner Services, Farmer Advisory, or general business needs. Companies and Farmers can also Apply for Funding through Foodshed Investors.

For Investors: Enroll in FI Investor offerings. Accredited Investors and anyone interested in participating in investing (through FI's Everyone Network) can enroll as an investor to participate in dealflow and investment offerings. Investment Offices and Funds can apply as a Syndication Partner for deals, as well.

For Experts: Apply to be a part of the FI Expert Network. FI Experts see opportunities to support companies in the sustainable food supply chain through mentorship or consulting services.

Meet the Brazos Valley Team

Justin Golbabai serves as the Regional Director of Foodshed Investors’ Brazos Valley office located in the Bryan-College Station area. Driven by the question “What environment best facilitates human flourishing?”, his career has taken him to unique places – from the halls of British Parliament, to a shelter for immigrants and refugees, to work as a city and neighborhood planner. As manager of the City of Austin’s Neighborhood Partnering Program, Justin worked with neighborhood groups to build the City’s first community gardens in city owned floodplain and right-of-way and his work was recognized with national awards for sustainability and innovation.

Justin holds a Bachelors of Arts in Economics and Sociology from the University of Notre Dame and a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Kansas. In his blog, The New Localization, Justin writes on how cities and towns can build strong local economies.
