Bhoomi Cane Water is a healthy, refreshing, and nutritious hydrating beverage, cold pressed from raw sugar cane stalks. It contains electrolytes, phytonutrients, and enzymes, perfect for after or during a workout. Bhoomi sources sugar cane directly from sugar cane farmers in Louisiana, supporting growers by finding viable and growing market channels.

Impact

Foodshed Investors was inspired by Bhoomi's sourcing strategy. Sugar cane farming in Louisiana has a deep and complicated history, with high levels of production and a history of discrimination against African American growers. Bhoomi is able to support these growers by sourcing as much as they can directly from them, thereby helping them reach larger markets. They also purchase sugar cane from them raw - rather than having it processed before reaching market. This results in better margins for the farmer. From an impact and business perspective, it's a win-win.

Activities: FI worked with Bhoomi to analyze and explore financial vehicles that would fit best for their company and investors. Once the vehicle was drafted and the company was ready to raise funds, FI walked with them through the raise process with investors, including reaching out and facilitating outreach to our own Accredited Investor Network, as well as Bhoomi's own investor base.
