Type: Craft Brewery Location: Austin The Raise: Hops & Grain was utilizing a mobile canning line for their production here in Austin. This was causing logistical and scheduling issues, along with adding costs to their process that were not needed. Outcome: Two AFI investors participated in an Able Lending loan. Closed: September 2015 Impact: At the Hops & Grain Brewery they take very seriously their environmental impact and are committed to sustainable brewing practices. They try to make our community greener through giving 1% of annual revenue to local environmental non-profits and supporting our local community growers and producers. They make Brew Biscuit dog treats from spent brewing grains and package their beer in the most recyclable container on the planet, aluminum! They say, "Good planets are hard to find, let’s do our part to take care of this one!" Comments are closed.
