Like makers of artisanal food, we take pride in crafting each client engagement with care. That means personal attention to you: serious listening to understand your business and your goals; in-depth gap analysis & expert assistance to prepare for successful fundraising... a fundraising strategy that blends capital from various sources to optimize your freedom, optionality, and cost of capital; and introductions to both outside capital providers and our network of values-based impact investors. We're professional investors who've funded hundreds of deals worth millions of dollars in the food & ag space and beyond. But we've turned down far, far more deals simply because the entrepreneurs were not "Funding Ready".
We try to be responsive to all companies who apply to FI. While not everyone is a good fit, we know that companies take considerable time and energy to apply for funding. So, if companies end up not being a great fit for FI, we'll at least let you know why and spend some time with you over the phone. If your company is a good fit with FI, we will always keep three principals in mind: 1.) We always have our client's best interest in mind. As we work with our clients, we learn more about what their goals and needs, and as the myriad of issues and opportunities arise over time, we will always advise what we think is best for you and your company. 2.) We move at the speed of trust; we know that your company is - after friends and family - probably the most important thing in your life. So, we understand that it can take time to trust others with your business. That's why we move at a pace that is best for you. 3.) We'll always be honest with you, even when it's hard. The process of improvement means that there may be tough conversations that require compassion, honesty, and the ability to tackle issues and opportunities head on. Comments are closed.
